What it is for, in the maker's words: “GOLD-FIX NON SLIP WALL TILE ADHESIVE” (Palace Gold-Fix technical data sheet, read 12 October 2026).

## The maker's figures

| Figure | The maker's words |
|---|---|
| 1.5 to 2 kg a square metre | “COVERAGE 1.5-2.0kg per sq. metre” |
- The conditions the maker names: Each figure is for the notch, bed, tile or joint the maker names beside it. An uneven surface, a larger notch or buttering the backs of the tiles takes more.
- A range, not one figure: Palace Chemicals Ltd gives a range. To buy enough, plan on the end that needs more: the smaller area a tub, or the higher kilograms a square metre.
- Waste: None of these figures adds anything for what is left in the bucket or spilt.

## What one tub covers at the maker's rate

| Rate | A 15 kg tub |
|---|---|
| 1.5 to 2 kg/m² (“COVERAGE 1.5-2.0kg per sq. metre”) | 7.5 to 10 m² |

Arithmetic on the maker's figure: the tub's kilograms divided by a rate a square metre, or times an area a kilogram, with nothing added for waste.
