## Coverage

Zinsser states 5 to 8 m² a litre. The maker's words: “Coverage: 5 - 8m² per Litre”.
- Bare, rough or absorbent surfaces: A maker's coverage is their best case, on a smooth sealed surface: bare, rough or absorbent surfaces take more.
- A range, not one figure: Zinsser gives a range. An estimate should use the lower figure, 5 m² a litre, so that the answer errs towards enough paint.
- Waste and touch-ups: The tin-by-tin figures add nothing for what stays in the tray and on the brush, or for touching up.
