Length, width and height, in metres, centimetres or feet and inches, plus each door and window. Those few figures give every surface the batch needs.
2 Answer only what changes the batch
What the walls are like now, and what the floor is going onto. Those answers decide the preparation and the extras; everything else starts at a labelled example you can change.
3 Get every line in real packs
Paint, wallpaper, tiles, flooring, skirting and everything around them, in tins, rolls, boxes, lengths and packs you can buy, each line marked Need, Check first, Already have or Not needed.
